Pitlochry twice!

My ankle wasn’t quite so sore this morning and as I wasn’t happy about not turning up for my jab I decided to try my shoes to see if they were comfortable and try to make my way to the station. The shoe did make my ankle a bit uncomfortable bur it was manageable. I caught the train okay and getting off at Pitlochry it seemed off the beaten track. But someone pointed me in the right direction for the town and a couple of others helped me get to the community hospital. A nice quilt in the waiting area.

Saw a lovely lady and got my jab and then set off back to the town.

I had a drink in the town before making my way back to the station. This garden was at a sheltered housing scheme near the station.
Some photos on the station while I had a long wait for a delayed train.

I was ready to get my shoes off and have a sit down with feet up when I got in.
After lunch some flowers arrived with a message ‘happy May ‘, they were from Tina. Put them in a vase before we set off for apitlochry, in the car, to visit Tina’s aunt and cousin,
We spent a couple of hours with them and got fish and chips on the way back.
I am anxious about the oak tree, it looks very unhappy and the leaves have gone limp.☹️
The arm is starting to ache a bit now which is to be expected.

  1. You are bad, you’re supposed to rest the ankle if it’s not fully better! I fully understand you not wanting to miss your jab, and being stuck at home is like torture at times. Hopefully you won’t suffer too much for it tomorrow. Maybe the exercise will actually help it heal quicker.
It does sound a bit out in the wilds, but lots of helpful people about makes life easier.
That’s a beautiful garden for a sheltered housing scheme. I could do with somewhere like that!
I like the barrel train at the station. That’s quite ingenious. It looks like a really quaint little station. Our station just has discarded litter and other detritus!
The flowers were a nice thought by Tina. You do receive a lot of flowers. It’s nice to have plenty of colour and smell. Bring the outdoors inside.
A second trip to Pitlochry, but a bit easier this time. Plus the bonus fish and chips make it worthwhile getting out 😊
I’m sure the tree will be fine. It just needs time and TLC while it gets accustomed to the move and new surroundings. You’re very good at keeping plants alive that others give up with 🙂

  2. It was a last minute decision but I am pleased I went. I will know where I am going, if I remember when they invite me again in the autumn.
The arm is really getting quite sore now so will have a variety of chew and pains to wrangle with tonight!
The flowers are pretty and I do like to have flowers.
The second trip to Pitlochry was good, I know Tina’s aunt enjoys having visitors.
I think I may have a quieter day tomorrow.
