After the usual chores and chatting to Anya I did do bit to the jigsaw but not a lot to show for it. After lunch I pondered making space in a cupboard be getting some pictures hung. I tried balancing on the mattress once before but couldn’t keep my balance and behind the bed is the sore I have left. The bed is ridiculously heavy so moving it isn’t and option, even if you could there is nowhere to move it to! So I wondered if I put my drawing board on the bed I could maybe manage to balance, worth a try. I used a step stool to make trending onto it easier. After all that waffle, I now have a funny te towel nd some photos above my bed!
I then got ready to walk to Dunkeld as there was a harp concert in the cathedral. There are free concerts twice a week during the summer. As iwas levingi noticed that one of the rescue plants, a white poppy had flowered, so pretty.Walking to Dunkeld I saw dog roses and some wonderful vivid ferns. Then tried to catch the black headed gulls on the rocks.I had a drink at Corbenic and then made my way to the cathedral, not a large audience which was a shame. The harpists were ll students t The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. The first lass was in her first year and the other two both in their fourth year and about to take their final exams. The spider pieces were fun!
I had some pin in my hip and knee, so now we have had dinner I am not going to do much more this evening. There is some athletics on the tv at the moment.

Good thinking putting the board on the bed to help you balance. I know how difficult it is to keep your balance standing on a mattress! You made a good job of hanging them, they look nicer than stuck in a cupboard. But I have to say, balancing on a bed, on a board two feet in the air is an accident waiting to happen 🤕😊
ReplyDeleteTalking of rescue plants, how are the bonsai doing. Has plenty of watering revived them any? Those ferns really are vivid!
I think it’s great they put on free concerts like that. It’s a shame when more don’t turn up though as it could end up in them cancelling them. That would be a shame. I imagine the harps sounded really good in the cathedral. The harp must be one of the hardest instruments to master. It’s not just as simple as plucking the strings, there’s so much more to it. I would have enjoyed listening myself. I quite envy you that one. I’m sure you’ll be a regular concert goer.
Singing and playing the harp must make the task even harder 😊
Sorry to hear you’re getting pains. In the chair catless would probably help. Stick some fish in Tina’s pockets 😊
There is a bit more space behind the bed but will save that for another day! Good to make a bit of space in a cupboard so a plus all round.
ReplyDeletePandora is on her basket at the moment, only problem with that is that she will probably get up as I am going to bed!
The pruned trees are doing really well with new shoots appearing. Two of the stick and beginning to push leaves e Birnam baby is looking very sad, but fingers crossed the leaves it has will die off and new shoots appear, I am not holding my breath.
The concert was very enjoyable and the ladies tutor sat near me so we had a word before I left. I said ‘you must be proud’ and said ‘I am, beaming’.
