I framed three more pictures after doing the blog last night, let’s hope something catches eye!
I had ordered some more inexpensive frames but they didn’t arrive until later so I decided to start trying to plan something for the fuse glass class. I hadn’t got anything that was 17cm round but managed to enlarge a slight smaller one, S Jude, who runs the workshop had said she would cut one that size form me. I thought of doing a river coming through rocks a bit like the one I painted at the pottery a while ago. When I started I realised that it may be too difficult until I am a bit more experienced at cutting. So may design a simpler one too.I went into the kitchen and had a sudden urge to clean the cooker up a bit, not the best idea but it is better than it was! I set off early to go to Jeans so that I could walk a bit further. Just took this one photo on the way and then some by the sea.
In this technical age it seems that playing about in the sand will be ever go out of fashion. There were some dark clouds as I went along to see Jean, ever hopeful of the rain arriving!Jean was okay, bit achey and talking of joining the gym as she enjoyed her sessions arranged by the surgery. When Terry brought me home the heavens opened, short and sharp but enough to enable me to leave the watering tonight. The package with the frames in was on the doorstep and the box was wet but the contents fine.
Darren was later home again and we enjoyed out take away then. Have framed two pics from China but may check with the family if they want them as it is one of the more unusual things I have done!
I do have a couple more frames so may see if I have sketches of a suitable size.
I’m sure the pictures will catch someone’s eye. Hopefully someone from Scarborough will see the middle one of the church π
ReplyDeleteCutting the intricate shapes for the fuse glass class may be difficult at first but I know you’ll get the hang of it. Definitely a good idea to take two different designs “just in case” though. If you were doing it at home you’d obviously get more time to practice, but in a timed class you’re limited. I’ll look forward to seeing the finished article as I know it’ll look good whichever design you use π
I often go into the kitchen and get the urge to clean the cooker…..NOT! You’re mad π
What is that flower?
I don’t know what it is about digging in the sand, but it’s fun. Maybe it’s just a British thing, a bit like knotted hankies on the head π
You caught some fantastic clouds today. I’m pleased they did drop some rain on the garden for you. At least it’s one less evening you have to carry umpteen watering cans! We had a bit of rain here earlier this evening. Not oodles though.
Jean could go to the gym with Darren.
Not everyone pops to China to walk on the Great Wall. Unusual, definitely. But not unusual for you π
The flower is an everlasting one that is beginning to go over, I have some in the garden but that one was just on the verge along the trail.
ReplyDeleteThe clouds were great, and for once rain clouds that rained!
I may do a flower for the alternative pattern for the fused glass.
Fingers crossed that there is some interest non my sketches, if not a lot of presents ready to inflict on people!
