We went to the boot sale this morning as usual. Darren had his hair cut there today, I think they are getting quite a few people having hair cuts now. I bought a couple of glass jars for Sher and some daffodil bulbs that have pink centres. Had a chat with Anya when we got home and then took the jars to Sher before walking to the front via the trail. I detoured through the community orchard today, lots of apple trees, you can see more clearly in the second photo.
As I finished walking along the trail several runners went by as there was a race on. I felt really tired and very achey when I got to the front, will it lessen if I keep on walking, only time will tell!Yesterday I had emailed Jude, the glass fusing lady as I was concerned that I had been too hasty in my fairly complicated design, I said I would take a simpler design as well and asked if she could find time to do have a one to one session with me to give me more instruction on cutting shapes. I got a reply when I was out. Jude said she could grind some pieces if I managed to cut them but hadn’t got more time for teaching but had contacted another glass worker who may help and said she was going to be at the town hall today. So after lunch I went along to the town hall and what a lovely lady. Not only is she willing to help me get to grips with the cutting but has agreed to see me tomorrow at her studio so that I can make the most of my workshop on Tuesday. I did look round while I wa there and bought a pair of earrings and four lovely little shells!
Haven’t done a lot this afternoon, a couple of chores and sorting dinner. I am still quite achey. Need to be active this week in readiness for Tina’s return at the weekend.
One of these days I’ll have to walk down to a boot sale. Not been for a very long time. Not even sure if the Wellington Street one is still there. Sher does well for containers with you going each week. You really must get Around to taking some pics of the finished articles.
ReplyDeleteThat is a lot of acorns on the branch. Acorns are fascinating things. I can remember playing with them as a kid. They’re just unusual, or is it just me. 😊 Like a seed in its own little basket…….yes it is me isn’t it? 😂
I feel achey and tired just walking into town these days. I really must make an effort to start walking home again instead of catching the bus.
I think you’ve done well to get a bit of tuition before your Tuesday class. Both ladies seem to have gone out their way to help. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing the results.
A pair of earrings. You can never have too many, and those are almost normal ones. The ladies in the hub will still be impressed though.
You don’t have to go mad just because Tina is coming home. She’s probably looking forward to a bit of housework after missing out on it for a few weeks! 🙂
No it isn’t you, acorns are fascinating seeds and just so tactile as well.
ReplyDeleteYou should get yourself to the boot sale, you never know what you might find.
I will mention the pics to Sher again, but don’t hold your breath.
I never thought I would get some extra tuition before the workshop, the ladies really have come up trumps.
The earrings are paper on a base but are sealed and should be durable, I think they are very attractive.
I am quite sure Tina will not be itching to get doing housework!
