I have been on a roll trying to do something constructive every day while Tina is away, been a definite down turn today! I have been feeling quite tired, part heat, part restless nights and part old age! I did go to the post box early and to the shop before visiting Bel. She is feeling old as well but as she is on her nineties with a much better reason than me!
I did decide to make a cake, and made a nutty Madeira cake had ground almonds and chopped nuts left over from the .Christmas cake baking. It turned out okay, we tried it after dinner.
I was waiting for the veg delivery as was making cauliflower cheese for dinner and had left over bacon and sausages to add to it. I did work a bit on the jigsaw and sat down for a while and dozed off!
You can't be on a roll every day. I'd be happy to be on a roll a few days each month! Old ages comes into it, but a lot of it is down to the heat we've suffered lately. We're just not used to it and don't cope very well!

Your day still sounds like a busy one compared to mine. I've mainly sat and stared at a computer!
The garden will survive until tomorrow, I'm sure. Maybe it'll be a bit cooler and we'll feel better for it.
The cake is quite tasty and it should keep Darren going for a few days.
