Boot sale and sewing

Will make a change now and not use the italic type face as it is a pain to have to reset it every time I have added a photo. We went to the boot sale this morning, it was very busy today, there were even sellers in the car park. I only spent six pounds but got some nice bits. A plant, you can ever have too many! A lovely little painting of the bridge, and a hippo cruet set for Rachel.

I wanted to repot a plant that had become pot bound so wasn’t taking up any water. I knew what size flower pot I needed, had a look in the greenhouse and cupboard, then went to Boyes and bought a couple but one was too small and one too big. Then I did find one that would do when I went searching again. Then It was almost time to go and meet Darren at the hub to have lunch. I took some sea pics before meeting him.

I had ordered a new dish drainer and had thought it would come assembled, silly me. It looked complicated so I said I would leave it to Darren. It was assembled wheni got up this morning.
This afternoon I got on with making the trousers and finished just in time to go and get dinner.

After dinner I had to clear up the sewing chaos which is now done, and when the blog is posted I will go out and water the very dry garden!

  1. Some nice bargains you got there. The painting of the bridge was a great find for you too. Had to be had 🙂
That’s typical with the pots. Buy two then find the actual size you want at home!
The beach looks nice, but it’s been a glorious day here, so I’m sure you had pretty much the same.
The drainer fairies were doing a bit of nighttime assembly. They are good 😊
The trousers look really nice, very understated for you…..almost normal 😂
Just realised, it’s cake feeding day tomorrow!

  2. It has been a lovely day here too, way too hot for gardening.
It was good to get the trousers finished, no more sewing for a while now I think.
The painting is small, but really lovely.
    Yes, cake feeding day tomorrow.
