Not as hot as expected

I did a few chores this morning and did the edge of the jigsaw. Missed about four pieces so not too bad.

I went along to see Sher as I want e a couple of small gifts for people and some compost as I have some plants that need repotting. We had a chat and a cuppa and I bought the gifts and she gave me some compost that she had already made up.

It was overcast and reasonably cool this morning so thought I would go and clear the path near the garden bin. I had both the strimmer batteries charged up so was going to do a quick clean up with that. But the strimmer seems to have died! No life at all so that was a bit sad. I did clear using cutters and a hoe, harder but I was in the mood to do it. Didn’t take a before but it was well overgrown again!

After lunch I set about dong some repotting and sorted out four of the smaller plants, the African violet has needed attention for years.
I got them done and stood them in water before back on the shelves.
I had plenty of compost left so decided to repot the Joseph’s coat plant, which I have had a few years now. I used the flowerpot I bought the other day which was too big on that occasion. Big enough to not have t repot this one for a good while.

I did a bit to the jigsaw this afternoon before getting dinner. The sun has come out now so I will go and water when it has gone down a bit.

  1. It was quite warm here. You must have benefitted from a nice sea breeze.
Four missing pieces aren't bad, well not missing, but you know what I mean. I'm sure Darren will be helping out with it at some point.
Hopefully the strimmer hasn't died totally. Maybe Darren can have a look at it. Might just be a bad connection somewhere. Definitely a bit hard without it, but it looks good now. It really doesn't seem long since you did it before. I know I keep saying that. Maybe it's in my head!
I bet the repotted plants are breathing out now. You have so many nice indoor plants.
You've done a fair bit again today, and it's not over yet. Watering still to do. How many cans?

  2. I think Darren will have a look, but yu can’t really get to the workings.
Hopefully the plants will all be happy to have a bit more root room
. It doesn’t take long for the area I clear to get very overgrown again, so you are not imagining things.
    Probably about a dozen cans!
