So many plants and unexpected trip out

This morning I went into the garden to top up the bird baths and watered some large plants that I don’t get around to watering as often as I should. I went along to the banking hub and did a bit of shopping on the way back. Then I decided to move my chair away from all the plants a bit and then rearrange them I do have a few more that need stands or displaying.

Carol, my hairdresser had said yesterday that she was taking her friend who lives in Hornsea out today and would I like to join them. She said about eleven thirty so I started sorted nd out edge pieces of the latest jigsaw while I waited. We went to a retail park in Hull and had a nice lunch and did a bit of shopping. Then we drove to a nursery to collect Carols grandson, he didn’t like seeing two strangers in the car so created a bit to start with, but I was in the back with him and soon got to know him and play silly games.
It was really hot so we stopped off and had ice cream and then went to the entrance of a garden centre in Cottingham so that Arlo could see the dinosaur! Some pics and cute chickens that were there!

I was home in time to make Darren a cuppa then was soon off to see Sarah and David. They are not too happy, David has been having trouble with pain in his legs which is getting progressively worse and has now spent three nights on the sofa. They have also been edged out of the group they used to run, so not happy bunnies.
Nothing planned for tomorrow, but not likely to be gardening if it is this hot.
Nearly forgot that I did got on with the first feeding of the numerous cakes before I got showered nd dressed!

  1. You certainly have a lot of plants in your lounge. It’s good though. I wish my lounge was like that, but I’d only kill them all off ☹️ You do need more stands. Hopefully there’ll be a few at a boot sale one Sunday ๐Ÿ˜Š You’re lucky you have a cat that doesn’t climb up them and knock things over. I don’t fancy your luck if you ever get another kitten though!
A little trip out like that makes a change. Good job you’re good with kids ๐Ÿ˜Š Arlo is a name I’ve never heard before. Do you know anything about it? I’m glad you took a pic of the dinosaur. It’s a bit weird isn’t it, or is it just me? The chickens are nice. I quite fancy having chickens in the garden, as long as they lay eggs. You could have a nice little chicken coop at the end of your garden and they could roam around the lawn ๐Ÿ˜‚
Doesn’t sound like your evening trip out was as pleasant. You know a lot about pains in legs and sleeping on a chair. Did you give him any advice? That a bit sad they’ve been outed from the group. Little local groups are a nightmare. Everyone wants to be a leader!
I was wondering how the feeding went, and you left it right until last. Not really something you should forget to mention after all the effort that’s gone into them so far ๐Ÿ˜Š
Blimey, it’ll soon be Christmas again!

  2. Sal is British but the family aren’t, not sure of his nationality but I imagine the name is connected with heritage as I haven’t heard it before either.
The trip out made a change and Arlo is quite a cute kid.
I do have too many plants really, but I love them and they tolerate me!
The dinosaur is definitely a bit weird, but the little lad likes to see it.
Cakes will start to mature now, nine more feeds to go!
