I was a bigger spender today compared to recently as I parted with ten pound! I bought a nice piece of beaten copper, a necklace made out of tiny stones and a fabulous marquetry picture. Very pleased with todays purchases.
Had a chat with Anya and then did a couple of chores before getting ready to go and meet Darren at the hub for lunch. I walked up to Tesco and along the trail before getting to the sea front.
Loved the resting gulls 😀
I did some chores and a bit of jigsaw before getting dinner. I did go and try to reach some of the sunflowers, most of them are way too tall!
Watered the garden after done and that’s about it for the day.
You got some really good stuff today. Well worth the life changing sum of £10! I like the otters, but I wouldn’t want the job of cleaning it. Too many nooks and crannies! The marquetry is beautiful. I tried it once, but hadn’t got the patience or precision to make it look any good. That will have taken someone a long time to do. The necklace must have taken forever too. Drilling out all those tiny pieces! I think you got your monies worth with those three 😊
ReplyDeleteThe trail is a pleasant place to walk. I do like enclosed paths like those, and I think the weed always looks good when it coats the water like that. Not all weeds are good though, to which you can attest 😊
Blimey, people on the beach. It must have been a pleasant day. I would think the gulls arresting as they’re full up after eating chips 🙂 I quite like the pic of the skydiver too. It’s actually good that they’re that small in the pic. It show how vast the sky is. I’ve never seen the point of throwing yourself out of a perfectly good aeroplane just for fun! Great cloud too.
Lunch and an ice cream. Hopefully Darren paid and that makes it perfect 🙂
I do like the dark sunflowers. They make a change.
All in all a good day. Feet up time now. You just need to text Darren and ask him to bring you a cuppa……or a flask 😂🤣
Yes,no good day and good buys. I love marquetry and I love geese, so that picture had to come home, mit is quite heavy but it looks fine on the stand so won’t have to drill any more hole in the wall!
ReplyDeleteI hadn’t thought about the drilling of those tiny stones, makes it even better value. The copper piece isn’t very big and I don’t feaooy mind if it is a bit discoloured inthe crevices!
Supposed to be another hot day tomorrow, and no rain in the forecast ☹️
