Bit of walking, bit of baking

I did go out reasonably early for a walk, not as far today and went through the park which I haven done for a while. Took a few photos of course.

The bindweed is over everything by the path, left alone it can look attractive.
This is a new sign, I suppose it is in memory of somebody.
A couple more and one of an unusual tree trunk in the memorial gardens.

I did pop out a bit later to go to the banking hub when it was open. Took a photo of the anemones but the Methodist church as they are splendid.
I spent the morning making a cake and an apple crumble so that Darren has snacks when he gets in from work. After lunch I did pop along to see Sher to check when the garden market is and she has asked me to work a couple of days in Botany Boutique while they are away. Rather than have payment I have my name down for a couple of workshops instead.
When I was home I decided to try and lol some of the plant growth that is smothering one of the outhouses.
The long lopper is a bit of a challenge for me but I got a fair amount of the plant down.
One ladybird pic to finish!

  1. It's nice having the park so close to the house. Handy if you fancy a walk but don't want to go too far. It's also good for pics 🙂 I like the idea of being able to erect a sign like that in someone's memory. Hopefully it'll be there for a lot of years. I'm guessing more people with get to see it rather than a headstone. Plus you get to have a bimble 🙂
I really like the anemones. As you know I'm not a plant man, but they're the sort of thing I would have if I was.
You really have spoilt Darren lately with all the cakes and desserts. No wonder he goes to the gym so often. He needs to burn the extra calories off!
It's nice that Sher trusts you with the shop. Definitely a good idea to do the workshops as a payment. you always enjoy them and you might learn something new to add to your repertoire.
You cleared a fair bit of weed off the outhouse. At least you can tell what it is now. Although it's probably only the plant that's holding it together by now!
Another varied day for you, and another ladybird 🙂

  2. Yes, quite a varied day a a bit of walking again although cups have been more!
It really is a nice and quite large park, good for when they have the carnival and obviously very popular with the dog walkers.
I may try to shift a bit more of the plant on the out house tomorrow although with a bit of luck it will be raining too hard! Ever the optimist.
