Bit of variety

I went for a walk this morning, trying to keep the momentum going, I walked to the front and then a little while on the trail and back into town along Witty’s Passage. The  wind turbines were more visible than usual out at sea, but not much zoom on the phone camera. Sea and a startling for a change today.

I passed the sleeping children’s fair and it made me wonder how common it is to have a little fairground just for children.
A couple of shots at the start of the trail.

A couple from Witty’s Passage.

There was a coffee morning in the parish hall so we went round to support it. We had coffee and cake and I bought a jigsaw as they had stall full of them. It is just a 500 piece one and I liked the style of the paining.
After lunch I went out in the garden and cleared the bed around the sunflowers so when I watered the ground was looser and the weeds weren’t taking most of the moisture. I also cleared a mountain of bindweed which had take. Over the inside of the greenhouse! I did the watering early as well.

Before I got tea I decided to start the jigsaw. The previous owner had bagged the edge pieces separately so  that made it easier! The jigsaw is upside down as I was then trying to do the sky!
Will finish with a photo of me with the kokedama I made up t one of Sher’s workshops, must be over a year ago. When I showered her a photo of it she was amazed that it is dong so well and wanted a photo of me with it as she is asking people to let her have pics of things they have made at workshops for her website.

  1. Good luck with the walking. I really hope you manage to keep the momentum going. I’m going the opposite way at the moment. I don’t walk anywhere near as much as I once did. The bus is a welcome sight on the way back from town. If I actually go in the first place.
    I don’t think I’ve ever seen a children’s fair. It’s always been a bit of both. It’s quite a nice thing though.
I wonder how many people have walked the whole trail over the years. Quite a few I bet. There’s a lot of mad people about 😊
Did Darren find anything at the sale, or was it just the jigsaw for you. Although he’ll probably lend a hand. It’s only a little one, so you’ll probably have it finished before he gets a look in!
I had no idea what a kokedama was, so just looked it up. It does look like it’s doing well.
Enjoy the rest of your evening.

  2. The moss was green when the kokedama was first made and than went off ages ago, but I have kept watering and the plant has kept growing. Sher said hers aren’t doing nearly as well, but they do have hundreds of plants to tend!
No, don’t think I have ever seen. Children’s fairground anywhere else, it has a regular spot on the seafront here in the summer holidays.
I was very achey dong the gardening and watering so we will see how long the walking lasts!
