Catch up and Freeport

This morning Lesley called for me, she came in to see the table cover before we went to the Green Owl far a cuppa and chat. She like the table cover but also noticed my lovely plates on the dresser and really loved them! We chatted for over an hour caught up with each other’s news. I got something for lunch on the way home. Sitting in the dining room doing a puzzle I had Pandora chilling nearby!
After lunch I caught the bus up to Freeport, got a few bits in Pound Stretcher and some craft bits in The Works as I plan to make some sample Mothering
Sunday cards to give the children ideas at the family group next week. Ther were clusters of daffodils at Freeport, a real spring feel!
When I got back I noticed a seagull trying to attack and get into the cage over the ground feeder. Went  out to shoo it off, hopefully it will eventually get the message that the food isn’t for the gulls! Walking through the walled garden the willow is looking so pretty now.
When I was putting the bin out I took a photo of a pretty whit daffodil.
A pink hellebore has grown near the path at the top of the front garden. I am tempted to move it to the back garden, but as they are not happy being moved I might not be so lucky if I try again.
I am contemplating getting crafty, but not bursting with enthusiasm!

  1. Quite a nice day from the sounds of it. A nice chat over a cuppa is always a good start. Hope you managed to put the world to rights.
Another quick cuppa at Freeport was it? The daffodils look nice. Always bring a nice burst colour. I’ve actually got a few in my back garden at the moment. More by luck than judgment I have to admit 😊 Nice to see all the different plants starting to look good. I particularly like the willow.
I’m sure the seagulls won’t be too long in getting the message about the bird food. They’ll be back to chips and hotdogs no doubt!
Give the crafting a miss tonight, put your feet up.
