My legs felt less achey today so I took the coins down to the post office to bank them and then went up to the sea front, quite a few pics and not a lot of sea!
Walking home a few minutes after those pictures the memorial garden looked like a different planet!
This afternoon I spent quite a while working along the side bed in the back garden, edging, weeding and hoeing. The ground was like concrete so a decent work out today!
I had a cuppa sitting on the garden swing when I finished and enjoyed seeing and hearing the birds and smiling at the antics of the squirrels. One managed to get an almost complete suet block out of an open container and carried it to the ground in his mouth. When he had eaten what he wanted I put it back in the container and made sure it was shut!
Pandora has taken to jumping up on the back of the dining room chairs, this time was okay but a couple of times she has tipped them over!
Quite a busy day, so a quiet evening planned.
I like the misty mornings too. Makes for some nice pics. Definitely makes the sea front look a bit different. The lack of people helps too, makes it quite spooky. As you say though, the memorial garden does look as though it’s in another world. They do look after it. Those beds are quite large but look reasonably weed free. A bigger task than your garden I think, and that’s saying something! What you did out there today looks really nice, and the edging makes such a difference. I bet you were ready for a sit down with a cuppa after that. The squirrels are clever little things . If there’s a way to pinch food, they’ll find it 😊
ReplyDeletePandora does like to sit in some precarious places. She’s a weird, but cute cat.
I hope you stick to the quiet evening as I looks like you’ve done more than enough for one day.
Started sorting, never that easy when you are such a clutter bug!
DeleteGood day on the whole though and beautiful weather.
