Today has had two themes, sorting out a couple of areas that needed attention and visiting a couple of friends! I think most homes have areas where things get put out of the way and then forgotten, I decided that it was time I moved boxes etc in the hall and porch and see what could go and what needed to find different homes! I started quite early and then had to race off to visit Bel, who was fine and we had a good natter long with a cuppa as usual. I came home for a while and carried on, grabbed some lunch and then was off to see Jean who lives near the sea front. I dropped a bag off at the charity shop on the way. A lovely day today so quite busy near the sea.As I walked by some bushes the sparrows were chirping and happy.
Another pic of the sea before I got to Jeans house.
Had a lovely chat and giggle with Jean and tried her cake made with rice flour. She has many food allergies but I have to say the cake was really light and tasty. Walking home I took a photo in the memorial garden as the blossom is appearing.
Bel gave me some leftover material this morning which has bright flowers. I have attached it to some interfacing and cut some out so that ai can make some sample cards to take along to the family session next Tuesday.
Have Comic Relief on at the moment but will probably turn over for Grantchester at nine.
You have been busy, cleaning and visiting. It’s been a great day for being out and about though. It looks lovely at the front in those pics. Sounds like both visits went well and were enjoyable. The cleaning and tidying didn’t sound so much fun though. The material flowers look great. Very clever.
ReplyDeleteThe weather is supposed to be good for a few days so a few more trips to the sea maybe?
Grantchester is good as usual.
Yes, a good day, and it was lovely weather for a walk to the seal
ReplyDeleteGrantchester is good, naughty vicar though!
