Feeling my age!

With aches and pains and almost permanent tiredness by body is definitely feeling it’s age although my mind isn’t so it is a bit frustrating! I plan to do things in the evening and then really can’t find the energy, losing the weight I have put back on would probably help!
This morningI went down the road to post letters and then got a lot of bird food supplies down to the greenhouse and stored.
Late morning we set off for Lidl and hopes the charging point would still be free when we arrived. It was, so we went and shopped. While we were queuing Tina spotted a lady in difficulty at the next till and went off to pay for her shopping and then they were exchanging details etc. Really lovely of Tina but I did tease her saying she only did it so I did all the unloading and packing of the shopping! She got the money back so it all turned out well.
We watched a Bargain Hunt and then I went out into the garden for a bit. I didn’t end up working on this bed, not that it is too bad , needs hoeing and the twigs etc cleared.
I did quite a bit on this bed, the pile green plants are pretty enough and do have white flowers but the are an evasive uninvited plant so needed removing. There were also a lot of nettles and some of those needed digging out.
It looks a bit bare now but I know that I have removed a lot of weed. I felt pretty shattered by the time I came in and I really didn’t work for that long, as I said, feeling my age!

  1. You and me both. I’ve been feeling my age for quite a while, but unlike you my mind is going downhill rapidly 😊 You do still manage to do quite a lot though. Way more than a lot of people your age do. I can imagine it’s damn annoying when your body won’t cooperate! Glad you didn’t spend the whole day gardening. A shopping trip and lunch breaks things up a bit nicely, even though you did get lumbered packing all the shopping 😊 A really nice thing for the Rev to do though. I’m glad she got her money back. It’s nice to see that not everyone in the world is a crook, which is the way it’s painted nowadays.
The garden doesn’t look too bad at all all things considered. It’s still damn hard work weeding it all though, or even just one of those beds. So I’m not surprised you’re shattered. I’m not going to say you should take things easy, because I know you won’t πŸ˜„ Stubborn old bugger!

  2. They do say that Taureans are stubborn!
I want to try and get moving in the garden before the weeds really do begging to grow with a vengeance!
Visiting a couple of friends tomorrow so unlikely to get out there tomorrow.
