I have been sleeping propped up on my back, it eliminates the aches and pains but it is so unnatural to me that sleep,is still difficult. The day didn’t start well, I had a water bottle by the bed as I get dry in the night sometimes. Because I try not to move too much at the moment I just put it on the bed when I had a drink. At about three I moved my hand into a wet area! There wasn’t much water in the bottle but it had gone through everything so had to strip everything off and h ad stuff everywhere trying to dry it. It didn’t need waning, just drying out! Did wash the bedding as it was off! So was dong that at about six this morning after going out very early to put the bird food out, it was just starting to get light so at least I enjoyed the dawn chorus today!
I have ordered the bird table and ground feeder today so should have those early next week.
Bel came to visit, it was a lovely morning so she game round on her scooter. Tina left while she was here, catching the bus into Hull as she is off to London for the weekend. She took the veggie box in for me, they have a smaller selection now, so this was a bit more expensive but more produce, you can also know what is coming and substitute one or two items, which is good.
A bit out of sync, I did go and post a letter earlier and took a couple of church pics.
I did do some more clearing in the front garden, boring again, lots of brambles! This isn’t nearly as bad as it looks but I will go for the sympathy vote!
These beautiful little tulips have beaten the daffodils to it in our garden!
And the willow is budding in the walled garden.
I managed to stab my finger while getting dinner so that was the third mishap for the day, hopefully the last!
New series of Grantchester starts tonight which is good.
That jigsaw puzzle actually looks like it’s enjoyable to do, not like the last one!
ReplyDeleteOh dear, the water bottle on the bed isn’t good. Not the sort of thing you want to be dealing with that early in the morning. Really nice to hear the dawn chorus though. You’ll have to be careful out in the garden soon. The gulls and pigeons will soon be dive bombing you when they realise you’re not going to feed them so much 😊 Has to be done though as they are such gannets and deprive the smaller birds of their breakfast!
The veggie box looks great. You should be so fit and healthy with all that lovely fruit and veg. Strawberries look really good. Hope you have cream in the house.
The leg does look sort of bad. A bit of sympathy is always good. Are you sure you didn’t spread it around a bit? 😊 Maybe from the stabbed finger! You’re not safe to be left alone, specially with pointed or sharp implements!
Enjoy Grantchester. I’m looking forward to it.
I will endeavour not out be so accident prone tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI think the rain has arrived tonight so may not be a garden day tomorrow.will probably slip on the mud when I am feeding the birds to start the day!
That’s what I like to hear, positive attitude 😄
