Bus to Beverley

Cold but bright today, I went over to the refil shop first thing and topped up a few items. Tina was working today so I thought I would take a trip into
Beverley with the plan of walking through the town to Flemingate. When I got off the bus my right knee was really painful nd I thought I wouldn’t be walking anywhere! So went for a drink at a cafe near the bus station and after that the knee had relaxed a bit. So I set off to walk to Flemingate as I planned. I went into Art and Soul, lots of lovely things as usual but I just bought some note cards. Then I went over to Baytree Interiors, was just finishing my look round when I saw a brown on a silver coloured stand at a really good price. I said I would like two and the lady said that it was the last one but she could order me two that would be the same reduced price. They will be there in about a week, but she said that there was no rush they would be in the back until I could get there to collect them. I asked if I could take a photo so that I could post a picture of it.
I started to make my way back to the town passing the Minster, I leg was painful and I wanted a rest and a loo as public toilets are in short supply!

There is a cafe just near the Minster so I called in there. A bit overpriced but it was a welcome stopping point!
The toilet seat was a bit flash!
I walked back through the town to the bus station, got a plant at a charity shop, may take a picture tomorrow but it doesn’t look to exciting at the moment. I went up to a shop near St Mary’s where there was a bag I had seen when it was closed. The bag definitely expresses what I was feeling like today!
I also got some lovely wall art in there, I had cashed in my 5p’s last week and wanted to buy something as I had been filling the jar for about two years!
I was absolutely worn out when I got home, but despite the aching joints it had been a good idea to go.

  1. You have been busy. Far more than I have that’s a fact. Judging from the pics it was a reasonable day, albeit damn cold! Looks like summer in the pic. Considering I had heavy snow this morning you did very well ⛄️😊 I really like the bowl on the silver stand. They’ll be perfect for what you want them for and you’re not in a mega rush to get them.
The Minster looks so nice against that deep blue sky. Looks like the height of the summer! Hopefully we’ll have some this year as I could do with some warm weather.
OMG, that loo seat is so gaudy! I know they call it the throne, but that’s going a bit far.
Glad to see you got gifts for yourself. The bag is very good 😊 and the wall art is really different. You can get another one in a couple of years, assuming you’ve start collecting the coins again?
I would say you’ll sleep well tonight, but I won’t jinx it for you!

  2. I was pleased in the end that I pushed myself to do what I intended and got some good stuff and some exercise, albeit not that enjoyable exercise!
Watching a feather depressing program about poor sleepers now, now hints yet on how to improve your sleep,
