Leisure centre in sight, will I remember how to swim?
Helpful staff and not too busy, so a promising start. I did think I had made a mistake as when I got into the deeper water didn’t think I was going to manage the length! But did, and had a breather and headed back to the shallows! Did a length and then a rest and managed to do ten, so not too bad. Then I walked in the learner pool for a while before getting out. Took some pics after I came out of the cafe.
Then one of the church ⛪️ on the way home.
I was quite tired so didn’t do a lot until after lunch. Cleaned out the bird baths and took a photo of the purple gladioli in the sunlight and a branch of autumn colour.
I did get some plants and bulbs into the front bed, hopefully more planting tomorrow.
You may remember that I planted lots of hollyhock seeds last year, not overly successful. One tiny plant had just opened.
I put the new water feature into the walled garden.
Looking out of the utility room window I noticed the wren hopping about. A photo through the window with the phone! You will find her on the cow!
All for now, a new drama has just started!
You had a nice view on the way to the pool. Nice skies are always a good start to the day.
ReplyDeleteIt has been quite a while since you do did any swimming, but it sounds like you got on ok and enjoyed it. Will it become a regular/semi regular thing again? I don’t thing ten lengths are are bad at all, even with breathers. Doubt I could do ten widths 😊
Those millennium flame baskets are everywhere. I wonder how many they erected. I remember seeing the one in the park here burning on the night of the millennium. Can’t believe that was 21 years ago! I do feel old!
The front bed is looking really nice. In fact that shot with the house in the background is lovely. Hopefully you can have a rest from doing it for a while soon.
I like the water feature. Have you had enough sunlight to power it up yet?
The wren was pretty well camouflaged in that pic. Not sure I would have found it without the clue 😊
Quite a good day, would be better if I wasn’t permanently tired!
ReplyDeleteMay try looking out of the window in the utility tomorrow afternoon and take the camera down.
