Garden Centre bargain

This morning the sky was pink, would have been quite a sight by the sea.

Darren agreed to take me to a garden centre as I wanted to get some plants for the winter. He drove out to Cherry Lane near Beverley, got quite a selection of bedding plants and then we had coffee and tea cakes.
We called in at Hornsea Garden Centre on the way home. They had some half price growing stands so we picked one up and some Lindor truffles for Tina and me. Mine were salted caramel! I have no willpower where Lindor truffles are the treat! The growing stand is great and was easy to assemble.

I had a package to send off so walked to the post office. Really struggled today, it was a real effort. Came straight home as was getting rolls for lunch. Plenty of pumpkins on sale but this squash caught my eye and had to come home, definitely not for cutting!
It rained a bit, which was good as my body was telling me to leave the new plants! Did get some soil in the new planter and took some cuttings from geraniums.
I phoned the surgery and actually got an appointment to have an injection in my right knee on Thursday, so that was good.
Been relaxing with Pandora but will get ready to go and see Sarah and David soon.

  1. That’s a beautiful sky. Like you say would have been great for a pic with the sea too. You should have run to the front 😀
Glad you made it out to the garden centre. No mention of bulbs either. Not like you at all! Some good purchases though. I love the growing stand. Much easier than having to bend down to stuff. Looks quite sturdy too. Glad it wasn’t all garden stuff though. Bet the Lindor was nice 👍 You should get two lots next time 😈
That squash is a really funky veg. What are you going to do with it if you’re not going to cut it?
Think you did a bit too much digging the other day and your body is rebelling. Pleased you’re listening to it though. Hopefully the injection in the knee will help. You did well to get that appointment as I think most doctors are still trying to avoid doing any work 😊
