Sharp shooter!

I will start with a bit more detail about yesterday. In the morning I went with Tina to Beverley as she had some banking to do. She was a long time in the bank but we had time for a lovely drink before the parking ran out. We called in at a garden centre on the way home as we wanted to check out pond moulds. There is a Pavers shoe shop there now and the assistant serving us was really helpful and I tried on a pair of shoes that were wide enough to slip on without bothering the bunions. They are a leather finish and I can only usually get the canvas type which are no good in the wet weather. We also got some bedding reduced in the linen department.
In the afternoon the three of us went to the fair. We parked in town and caught the bus out to the site. I posted the fair pictures yesterday but not our collection of prizes.
Some of the prizes were not really won, but the more exciting part for me was reasonable success with the rifles and the surprise of the stall holders! The first rifle was a paint ball one,  I struggled with the trigger which was really stiff, but I managed seven successful hits and the guy said ‘well done, if you had hit eight you could have had any prize on the stall!’ The other rifle stall I went on had the traditional pellet guns and I knocked all six teeth down, much to the surprise of the young man running the stall. That was two wins and Tina had a win to and we put them together as Tina wanted the octopus.
Today Tina assembled the lawn leaf collector and tried it out. Seems like a good buy.
Tina did some more work on the bottom of the garden and I sawed up a bit of the dead tree after I had called in at the Chill and Chat cafe.
This afternoon Lesley was coming to help tidy up the front garden a bit so I got some tools out and left Ruby keeping an eye on them!
I didn’t take photos of what we did bit I did take a picture of the dying triffid leaves as they are still interesting.
Lesley and I worked for over an hour and then had a cuppa and a chat in the summer house.
Feeling really achey today so have started a pain diary! Then if I go back to the doctor I won’t forget anything!
Having a quiet evening, had company on the wall when I went to the bathroom!

  1. Yesterday sounded like a nice day with the trips out and the bargains. Shame the theme didn’t follow on during the night and let you have a decent sleep. Hopefully tonight will be a bit better.
I like the pirate type bear, if that’s what it’s supposed to be. The octopus is cute too. You always do well on the rifles. I’m sure you were a sniper in a previous life!
Glad the leaf collector works ok. It should save you a hell of a lot of raking! The grass looks lovely in that picture. Very green and thick.
Hope you’ve not gone too mad with the gardening today, but at least you had some help for a change. Even Ruby got in on the act 😊 Did she stay away from Darren today?
The pain diary is a great idea. It’s not easy to remember everything when you visit the doctor. Although whether they actually do anything about is another thing, assuming you can actually get to see a doctor that is!
Nice funky spider to end with.

  2. Yes, it is a pirate bear, the other leg is a wooden one, well material but supposed to look like a wooden leg!
Ruby has been quiet today, nowhere near Darren!
