Squirrel acrobatics made my day!

This morning I had a wander round the town visiting the factory shop and the charity shops. I have quite a lot of nice, patterned trousers but not a lot of plain coloured tops, so I was on a mission! When I got home June from HUG arrived with some wallflowers that were being dumped by the council. Tina and I wrapped them in damp newspaper and we put them in a bucket and I filled that with water and placed it in the shade. I had thought I would don the wrist supports and do a bit of gardening today.
I spent some time in the summer house this afternoon and took the bigger camera with me, just in case I managed to get something in focus. I was doing a puzzle so missed the first opportunity to snap the squirrel, but it came back!

I did go out and get the wallflowers and primulas into the new corner bed. They are about over for this year but will appear again next year.
I did use the wrist supports and time will tell if they have helped. They were tight as this last picture shows!

  1. You’ve got some great pics of the squirrel! They are such cheeky creatures, and that one in the pics is giving you some good looks 😊 Looks like the bird feeder is on its last legs thanks to the woodpecker. Shame he didn’t show up for a picture too. I’d spend a lot of time in that summerhouse taking pics. Should be good for capturing some good shots in the winter too.
Those wrist supports have certainly dig into to your wrists, but I suppose that’s the general idea. Just don’t get carried away thinking you can do your normal 6 hour gardening stints in them! Carry on being good, even though it’s driving you mad!

  2. It was a real bonus the squirrel arriving while I was in the summer house. He have spotted it in the garden a few times but only from the house.
My hands feel about the same this evening, I guess if I have a worse night I may need to leave gardening again, but fingers crossed they will still be reasonably okay.
