Getting bored and don’t ‘do’ bored!

To say I am getting a little frustrated with numb hands would be a bit of an understatement. Will drive Tina over the edge asking if she any errands that need doing! Took this first picture on th way harder me from a meeting last night, just had the phone with me but wanted to catch it.
It was fun watching the squirrel yesterday but I have now realised that it is the squirrel demolishing the bird feeder, there is a lot of wood on the ground, it is obviously chipping it away to get to the suet block! The feeder will soon be a dead feeder!

Tina has ordered me a metal feeder for the suet logs today!
This morning I went and voted and called in at the coffee morning to arrange a time to go and see Sarah and David before we go off to the Orkneys.
After lunch I went for a walk to the beach, taking a bag and a litter picker. Not a lot of litter which is good, but a swarm of tiny beetles which were very uncomfortable to have all over you! This shot just amused me, my mind I guess!
I went to post some letters and walked back through the churchyard, I love the Californian poppies.
I donned the wrist supports and did an hours gardening this evening. This plant that I thought was just foliage has produced pretty flowers.
I sat out in the summer house with a coffee when I had finished. This photo was taken with the smaller camera and of the feeder that is further away, but the small birds are eating the fat balls now.
I am still getting the numbness, I will try to do some writing or craft tomorrow and se how it goes.

  1. I can imagine how bored you’re getting. Sitting around twiddling your thumbs, if you could that is 😊 Sorry......
You’ll definitely drive the Rev potty too if you keep asking for tasks to do. Although I’m sure she’ll find you plenty to keep you occupied. You’ll be back to your normal self again before too long and there won’t be enough hours in a day for you.
That bird feeder won’t last the day out tomorrow, assuming it’s still there in the morning. A very enterprising little squirrel. He’s got virtually all the food out of it. A metal one should slow him down a bit!
Glad to hear you only did an hour in the garden. No point in overdoing it just before you go away.

  2. The squirrels antics have been fun to watch, almost worth having an ex feeder. The metal ones you put the logs in vertically so that will be interesting. Should come tomorrow.
The rain is still missing us, so watering again by the look of it.
