Looking along there was quite depressing as it doesn’t seem long ago that I cleared it. During one of my breaks I noticed this bee on the chard plants. I was picking some to have in a sandwich for lunch.
Had to put the next photo as proof that we have a woodpecker visiting the garden who obviously likes the suet logs almost as much as it likes the feeder itself!
I was still working on the side at gone six this evening so Tina said she would take me down to have fish and chips by the sea. That was really nice as I hadn’t been anywhere except the garden today.
When we came home I went and finished off what I was doing at the side.
Aft r that I put a few plants in the ground and got the hose out and watered the back garden and the walled garden. The baskets I planted up a few days ago had completely dried out! In late and caught up with Holby. Didn’t watch it last night as I was at the quiz evening which turned out to be fun.
Wow, that a fair chunk of gardening, and I have to say very worthwhile as it looks so different. Hopefully hoeing that bit deeper might help it stay clear for a while longer. Fingers crossed. Hope it was chard you were picking for lunch and not bees!
ReplyDeleteThat definitely looks like a woodpecker has been on the feeder, either that or you’ve got a bad case of termites 😊
That was nice of the Rev to take you out for fish and chips. I doubt you’d have been very keen on cooking for yourself this evening. Plus it looks nice by the sea in your pic.
You should sleep well tonight assuming you don’t ache too much to get comfy. I think you deserve a good night after today. Maybe take it a bit easier tomorrow.....or not 😊
It was a long day and quite hard work but good to see that area so clear. If only it stayed that way!
ReplyDeleteWe have spotted the woodpecker a couple of times from a distance, couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw the damage to the feeder, but it made me smile!
My pensioners fish and chips was delicious, it was quite cool by the sea but nice a clear.
