I finshied off by going in the coop and then came home. Quick cuppa and then I caught the bus to the garden centre as I had some vouchers to spend. The bus was delayed for quite a while behind a tractor cum digger!
I spent the vouchers and got some nice stuff, also got some more things for feeding the birds.
One of the feeders was a jar of special peanut butter for birds! Also got another suet roll holder as the tits have been using the first one.
I haven’t done any gardening today and may give it a miss tomorrow as well as I have felt quite tired and achey. I have some plants ready for hanging baskets, so maybe on Monday. The acer in the walled garden is looking glorious in the sunshine.
I can make good Yorkshire puddings but haven’t had much success with toad in the hole. Recently I have been making individual ones which have been great.
This afternoon and evening I have been making my first piece of furniture for the Tudor dolls house, it is a settle and it still has to be stained! Pleased with my first attempt though.
Varied weather, and a varied day for you too. A break from gardening will do you good, and another tomorrow will be even better 😊
ReplyDeleteThe tea towel is good and had to be had. Some things are so daft you can’t help but chuckle at them.
Quite a little hoard from your trip to the garden centre. The birds at your place a totally spoiled! But it’s really nice to have them there, as long as the days stay away! The acer is such a good colour. Great for some close up pics another day with some dew on the leaves.
The settle is fantastic. It’ll look even better when it’s stained. Is there no end to your creativeness? Just watch your fingers when slicing the wood, I know what you’re like with sharp knives!
Why my spellchecker decided that cats actually means days I’ve no clue!
DeleteI did correct it in my mind, weird the spellchecker at times.
ReplyDeleteIt was a different and enjoyable day, especially managing to make a piece of furniture, it has been a while.
The tea towel just made me happy , the sillier the better!
I am hoping the birds will soon discover the new feeders.
