Walk along the trail

This morning was another wet day so no actual gardening. I was up later anyway and haven’t been feeling too energetic this week. I did get a couple of stakes into the ground and put cord across to try and stop the gladioli from keeling over this year! I went off to get my hair cut, two handed, or should I say four handed again but pleased with the result as usual. Tina went for a haircut as well and when she was home we had lunch together,
I had a messag to say that the stain I had ordered for the dolls house furniture had arrived so walked up to the store this afternoon. I need to have some longer walks so went to the start of the Trans Pennine trail and did a round walk.

I got my dark oak stain and some more glue, took a few more plant pictures on the way home.

Called in at Countdown and got some small pin tacks that can decorate a dining chair I am making for the house. Will put photos of that tomorrow, well, maybe not the chair but the progress! I have started staining the furniture I had already made so getting on with it.

  1. Considering it was a wet day you manage to get a fair bit done, including a tiny bit of gardening ๐Ÿ˜Š Some great pics too. They look quite bright and colourful considering it’s been gloomy and wet. That trail is a great place for flora, and no doubt a bit of fauna occasionally too.
With the stain and the small tacks it’s all systems go now for the furniture. I’m really looking forward to seeing the finished chair. Then the other five to go with it ๐Ÿ˜Š

  2. Definitely a poor family, a chair for dad and benches for the rest of the family!
It was a pleasant walk despite the weather, not a lot of people around, saw a few dog walkers.
When the first furniture is completely stained I will take a picture of them in situe.
