Honeysuckle Farm with Tina

This morning I went to the coffee morning at the URC and collected my essential oil mix from the lady that did the hand reflexology. She makes up and individual mix as part of the treatment. Tina had a meeting this morning but was back before lunch and she took me up to Honeysuckle Farm. Tina hadn’t been there before and she knew I had enjoyed it and had heard good reports from other folk. We had lunch first and then set off, we fed goats at the beginning, they really do mob you!

I should say at this point that I went without phone or camera! So the photos are all thanks to Tina’s phone and snapping! We enjoyed seeing the unusual birds.

There was one of budgies on a ladder but can’t have transferred it, will try to remember for tomorrow. Then we went to the beautiful ponds and fed the fish and the black necked swans!

The cows waited patiently for us to get more food to throw in their troughs.
Then we went in and saw wine of the cows that we had watched being milked earlier but back with her calf.
Will finish farm pictures with one of an attractive rabbit.
We had an ice.cream, made on site with the milk from their cows. We enjoyed walking round seeing animals, through woods and we even went into the maze. All in all a lovely visit.
At home before tea Tina did some weed clearing on the driveway and I tidied up the planters on the front lawn. After tea had gone down we both went out the back to prepare ground near the summer house for a dozen new, small lavender plants. No before picture but did take one when we finished.
Quite a busy day again, but very enjoyable.

  1. What a great trip out. It does look a lovely place. It makes a change to see you in the pictures too. It’s good when you take a personal photographer with you. I think that place might become a regular haunt for you. I do like the sound of the ice cream, bet it tasted good.
It’s looking good at the front of the summerhouse now. It’ll smell great in there on a summers day once the lavender grows a bit too.
I think you’re about due for a nice relaxing weekend.

  2. There are loads of picnic benches around the farm, a pack up, book and sketch book and you could happily spend a day there. They even do cart rides for a pound, maybe another day!
Slowly but surely we are getting the garden into shape. Rain is forecast which will keep me away from it for a bit!
