Stay at home day, well, mostly garden really

I haven’t been sent it today, not even to the local shop. Spent a lot of time finishing off the bed I started yesterday and filled another one and a half bags.
Yest reay evening I planted up some hyacinth bulbs and put them in the cupboard, hopefully they will be well on the way so that they will make nice Christmas gifts. I tried to get traditional hyacynth bowls at the garden centre yesterday but they didn’t have any, I liked the alternative though.
The coffee trees keep growing and they are shooting out sideways so getting cramped. Was gong to transplant all three but Tina suggested I just repot the middle one for now. Seems like that will work for a while, I had better read up on what to do with them!
Tina went to Hull today and got me a set of mini dies at the range, they will be fun to use.
We are hoping to get a sunmmer house, although by the time we get it it will be an autumn or winter house. Should get a quote before too long.
May do a bit more gardening tomorrow and need to get to the builders merchants to order a new pane of glass for the greenhouse. Forgot to mention yesterday that. One of the volunteers got the greenhouse door working again.

  1. I really like those “BLOOMS” planters. Very different, and a nice colour too. Blimey, those coffee plants have come on leaps and bounds since I last saw them. They look very shiny and healthy. Do they smell of coffee? :-)
That was good spotting by Tina to get those dies. Very appropriate for a crafter who lives by the see. Should make for some very colourful cards.
You do lead such a varied life. Gardening one day, crafting another, builders merchants too :-) You’ll never get bored!

  2. I like the little planters too, different, just hope they sprout now, I have them in a cupboard.
The coffee plants are healthy and the leaves are huge, I replanted the three smaller ones so I have six in all. No, they don smell of coffee!
