Bus trip to Beverley

I will try to keep this short, it is late, my legs are aching and I have a sore thumb as Incaught it earlier and ripped the nail back. Bit awkward as it has a plaster on and it is the one that I log into the iPad with!
A lovely day but the bus trip was a bit longer than anticipated due to a very long tail back because of road works, more stop than start for about twenty minutes. I went to shop today, not sightsee or sketch but took one pick of the town.
My main reason for the trip was to go to Lakeland and get some of the pie tins with holes to hopefully eliminate soggy bottoms! Did get them, and shoes and a hair gel I use so all good.

I did make a pie this evening as a tester and it turned out okay, making apple pies for the harvest meal tomorrow.
We got some pavers yesterday and  I went out to sink them into the front lawn to stand the pots on, as they are killing off areas with their weight. I used a permanent maker on the spade to try and get the depth right. They are in and hopefully just right for mowing over.
Pots back on now to help bed them in.
I made the pie as I said and then Tina and I went to an open evening at th garden centre. A preview look at the Christmas displays and a discount throughout the centre. One of the displays and one Tina took of me being sensible as usual!
A great moon when we came out, took it on two different settings and couldn’t decide so will post them both.

  1. It’s not so bad getting stuck in traffic when you’re on the bus. Not so exasperating as when driving. The holey pans a such a simple but effective idea. Like most thing, the simple approach to a problem is usually the best.
I see the spellchecker managed to work the word Satan into the text tonight. Very appropriate for a vicarage garden 😀 Looking good though.
At least it was only a gingerbread man at the garden centre and not a full sized snow globe!
    Second moon pic I think.
