Hornsea beach and welcome rain

I walked to the post office this message morning and went into the park to take a picture f the area that is like a pond all winter, we did in fact think it was a permanent pond originally.
It was dull and drizzly today and has w different the sea looks in ththe mist, with the distant cliffs barely visible.
There was a funky van parked near the front today.
The welcome rain looked great on the flowers and the webs, hard to capture the latter though.
There are some fantastic gourds, fingers crossed I can get them to dry out properly.
Charlie came out to keep an eye on me, he is a handsome boy.
I had another walk to the post office this afternoon so wI not up to see the sea again, how different from this morning.
I have tried to stick the fairly house to a paving slab, I am tempted to try and pick it up but want to give it time to dry properly.

  1. There’s a fair bit of difference from the morning to afternoon pics of the beach. Both nice in their own way, but I prefer the afternoon. You’ve actually got people in them today!
The pic of the van amused me. It’s painted with a camouflage pattern, but does actually blend into the background very well :-)
I do like pics with beads of moisture on them. If you can get in really really close, you get some great reflections in them.
Seeing the gourds reminds me. I have a small dehydrator, which I could probably fit half a dozen little ones in. If one of us remembers I could bring a few back here and try to dry them out. Worth a try.

  2. It got even brighter after that but I was on the way home then. A good idea to try and dry some out for me.
I like seeing the beads of water on the leaves, we haven’t seen a lot of that this year!
