Hanging on one picture pin, as I said, very light.
Today I got the bus up to Freeport, wanted to deliver the card for Abi and then walked home via Woods, the builders merchant, to get some more varnish. I have made a sign for the re-vamped front garden. I have now varnished it for what I hope is the last time, photo tomorrow. Meanwhile some pictures of the front garden. The volunteers have done an amazing job so far, digging out boulders and edging, removing tree stumps and getting beds ready for planting. They have also used weed killer on the driv in readiness for a load of new gravel.
It really will look good when it has the gravel. I have been doing planting and making the teas, even a bit of digging, but not a lot. There are usually four or five of them working hen they do come. One of the planters I have had going all summer is still looking good.
Off to Hull for the dentist tomorrow and then the craft group are coming to the vicarage in the afternoon.
That new gecko is huge. I remember how big the pink one is in comparison.
ReplyDeleteThe garden looks amazing! You’ve all done a grand job of it. As you say it’ll look even better with some new gravel on it. The stones along that edge look really good. It’s all so different. Will they come back occasionally to keep it under control, or is that all left up to you?
I think they intend to check on it and lend a hand if necessary but hopefully maintenance won’t be too bad once it is all done. The sigh is going at th front of the flower bed as you come in.
