Boot sale bargains and fairy house

Darren and I had our usual trip to the boot sale and market. A nice morning and plenty of stalls today. I got a great paper cutter, a little soapstone elephant and some pieces of wood, one big enough to make a sign for the fairy garden.
The piece of wood for the sign is bigger than those, that are coaster sized.
We came back and were soon off to the harvest lunch which was very tasty, it was chicken casserole with jacket potatoes, followed by apple pie and custard.
This afternoon I finished the fairy house and varnished it. The varnish will protect it but Inthink it ages it and makes it look better too.
I have caught up with Strictly this afternoon but have managed to do another sketch in the new book.
On a different note we had a pheasant in the garden this morning which was exciting and it returned for a while this evening.

  1. Quite a nice little boot sale haul you have there. I foresee cards with die cut outs and fancy edges 😀
The fairy house is great. Well worth the effort you’ve put into it. I think the fairy garden is going to become a well known part of the vicarage garden.
I like today’s sketch. Maybe tomorrow’s should be a pheasant. Surprised you haven’t got a pic of it.
Strictly was good, and fair I think.

  2. I got a picture of it disappearing by the greenhouse on the phone, but theybdon,t transfer well. Hopefully he will return soon.
Will get the house outside tomorrow, will take a picture of it in situ.
Pleased with the cutter, don’t think it had been used much and was in the box.
