Sewing demonstration

This morning I spent some time hoeing th flower bed at the front of the house, also some digging to remove more roots and planted a couple of flowers. Took the picture when I came back this afternoon.
Last night I piled stuff up on a box to than paint black, the picture is a bit blurred but it gives the idea. I did paint it but was too keen and dropped some black painted beads on the carpet! Will give it much longer to dry properly now......
This afternoon I walked up to Freeport as Aimee was giving a sewing demonstration. I wonder if the tree had been removed and luckily it had, the path is clear and the remains of the tree along the edge.
Aimee showed us two quick ways of doing cathedral window patchwork. Neither actually that quick but not as complicated as the proper way.
We are going to see the Johnny Cash tribute act tonight which should be fun.

  1. I still find it hard to believe how much better the garden looks these days. Pity it’s not overly easy to keep it looking that way! Still it’ll keep you fit 😀
Hope the carpet stain has faded away now.
Wow, very bright nails, but great when doing a demo as everyone is staring at them. Are you going to be doing some patchwork again soon?
    Enjoy the music this evening.

  2. The show was great, the guy has been singing Cash songs for forty years and his voice was great. Group of good musicians too.
Not sure I will do any patchwork, but it was interesting.
