Darren and I went off to Leberston today as he wanted to go to archery after and they are near each other. It was really cold, I almost ended up buying another hat! Not so many stalls there this week and it will soon be stopping for the winter months. I got some broken jewellery, with boxes in mind, but also an unused stencil book, a slate plaque with wrens on and a great Johnny Cash dvd. It has songs but he is telling the story of the railway.
I went for a short walk while Darren was at archery, still pretty cold but in a nice area.
We stopped for a cup of tea on the way back as Darren had got wet as well as cold when it started raining while he was at archery.
This afternoon I spent over an hour trying to get some more of the roots out of the bed near the bay tree.
I managed about another metre, got rained on and then was so close to the tree that it became difficult, or should a I say more difficult? I got some plants into the area over the last two days so it is taking shape.
I bronzed the latest box before I got dinner, pleased with this one.
Last part of Bodyguard tonight.
I was cold in the flat today, so I don’t think I’d have gone car booting myself. Mind you I’ve not been for a while now, even in the hotter weather. Glad you got some bargains though. Bet Darren was pretty cold if he got wet.
ReplyDeleteYou certainly have a lot of patience with that garden! It’s a never ending battle, but I think you’re winning at the minute. It does look nice. Hope it doesn’t have a mad spurt and start to fight back 😀
The box does look nice.
I think the garden will be fighting back for a while yet, just need to keep at it.
ReplyDeleteNeed to get some more boxes while I am in the mood to decorate some more.
Bodyguard was VERY good!
