The weather was really terrible last night, very windy and very wet. It does disturb me a bit but I didn't actually get up until fairly late and had my cup of tea in bed. I decided it was time to get on with the scrapbook of my National Holiday coach trip. I had emailed Virgin yesterday to see about getting some assistance at the airport when I make my trip to America. Had a reply today saying that as the flight is actually with Delta on behalf of Virgin, I had to phone Delta and they gave me the number. Phoned the number today, and this is when I ended up completely stressed. They had no record of me on the flights and the booking reference I had did not match anything. The lady said she could sell me tickets today!! She also said I should get in touch with Virgin again to see if I had a valid booking. I emailed Virgin again and then went out in the rain to get my tv magazine, and a bar of chocolate!! Carried on with the scrapbook when I got back, listening to Brett Dennen, by latest favourite singer. Kept checking the emails and did get one from Virgin saying I have got valid tickets (phew) and they gave me a booking reference that I can quote to Delta if and when I try again. I finished using my postcards and photos for the trip record. Enough space in the scrapbook to keep a record of the next trip to London I think. Will photograph a few pages to give the flavour of the scrapbook.
Off to make a drink and settle down for Strictly, Ed Balls doing Gangland style should not be missed! Am thinking of watching Mandela:Long Walk to Freedom later.
You could do without many stressful calls like that. Good you got confirmation that you do actually have flights booked though. Better than getting to the airport to be told you don't! Hopefully when you ring Delta next time you might have more luck.
ReplyDeleteThe scrapbook is looking good. I think I know someone who will enjoy looking through that :-)
I think Ed Balls was great on Strictly this evening. He actually made me smile, which is a feat in itself and deserves a vote.
I think it was a great show, All of them good in their own way. Will be interesting to see who get the public votes tomorrow. I will try to remember to bring the scrapbook down when Darren drives me down on cake delivery.
ReplyDeleteStrictly was really good Ed Balls try's so hard. Lovely day here very sunny and much warmer, went into Watford, picked up one other pressie. Hate the wrapping but found some really pretty inexpensive boxes, should make life easier. Bet that glen is looking good today. Your scrape book is coming along nicely.
ReplyDeleteLovely here today but not as warm as the other day. Results tonight, expec t you have the inside info!! x
