It has turned extremely cold today. It didn't look too bad from indoors but as soon as I was making my way to the bus stop this morning I knew the wind was absolutely bitter, cuts right through you! I called in at the studio before going into town. Sandy will collect me from the station when I get back from my trip and will get me some fresh milk and bread, so that is good. Darren and Tina will be away when I get home and I doubt I will feel like walking down to the local shop after such a long journey. Last night I was checking my train tickets and the ones home were for the wrong day!! I was a bit surprised as I am very careful when booking the tickets, but then I remembered that I had been coming home a day earlier and then got an email from the booking company to say they had altered my flight details. So, have ordered tickets for the right day and after leaving the studio went right through town and up to the station to collect them I also mailed Lee yesterday as I have been trying, in vain, to get assistance at the airport in America. I was given a USA number so Lee has been in touch and organised assistance for me. It is a very long walk (well as I remember it, and I could walk much better last time) so was a bit anxious about it. So after some hurdles things seem to be falling into place. I caught the bus home, and walking down the hill the wind was so cold with some rain that it gave me the equivalent of brain freeze on the outside of my face! Sitting having a cup of tea in my tv room I took a picture from further away for the window, I am usually right up against the glass for the sky shots.
I started the slightly larger micro jigsaw a while ago and it was proving very tricky. Carried on today. I have two spaces and one piece left, doubt I will mind the other tiny piece. But even better, the one I have left doesn't fit either of the spaces, very weird!
Won't be framing that one then! I have framed the other two and given them to Tina for the church bazaar. I have been doing a little bit of fiddly knitting, but Blue is up here now so won't be doing any more for a while as the wool is just too good a play thing.
It's been cold here today too, so I know exactly how you felt! At least you managed to get a few things done, and the America trip must be all sorted now. Can't be anything else that could be a problem......I hope.
ReplyDeleteYou should email the jigsaw makers/suppliers, they may send you another puzzle, or two for your troubles. Worth a quick email, and they should be told about it anyway.
Groveled about on the floor, found the piece and after a lot of looking found the one in the wrong place and it is now complete!!
ReplyDeleteThat's good then. I'm always keen to berate manufacturers :-)
ReplyDeleteI know! Not sure I would have wanted more, think I am over that particular pastime now!
