Lee and I had a game of Scrabble last night which was enjoyable, we usually manage a couple of games when I am over here. This morning, when the children were all at school, we drove over to Danbury  mall. We arrived at about 9.30 am and it didn't open until 10 am! Lee said he had never managed to park so close to the entrance. We did find a coffee stall open so had a drink while we waited for the shops to open. We went out separate ways and agreed a meeting time and place. There is a carousel at the back of the food court. Quiet when I went by it of course.
Santa's grotto was quite impressive.
And this was quite a stylish Christmas shop.
They are getting in the Christmas spirit at the house as well, the soldiers are out on guard by the garage!
I had a little wander round outside, it was a beautiful day today. The pool area looks quite different when the pool is out of action.
A couple of pictures of the house, haven't posted any in quite a while.

I sat in the hot tub for just over an hour and was seriously over cooked! Took a while for my face to stop tingling. My ankle has been particularly painful today so I moved it around a lot in the warm water and that seemed to help. While I was out I just bought myself a gecko to go on my bathroom wall, I have four already I think. This one was hand crafted in Bali and will be lovely and bright when in place.
I made a quick pattern and have been cutting out the cushions to match the ottoman. There is barely enough material and one of the backs will consist of three pieces of fabric! I need some more tape as well so will get some when I go to the quilting shop tomorrow. Mark made me cheese ravioli for my dinner and Lee and I have had another game of Scrabble this evening.Won't be late getting to bed as I am feeling quite tired, probably still recovering from being over heated!!

  1. The mall is quite impressive with its own carousel, and the grotto looks big too. But they do say everything is bigger in America! I really like the soldiers Lee and Patty have on display, they're really nice. The house doesn't really look like anything I remember. It must have had a lot of work done to it since I was there.
Sounds like you're being looked after well there. Even Mark cooking you a meal. You won't want to come home........a little granny annex on the end near the hot tub and pool maybe :-)
    Enjoy the day.

  2. It is an attractive mall, and fairly quiet because we were there so early, which was a bonus. The house has had a lot of work done and is bigger now. Mark has been very attentive, I will miss him!
