Blairgowrie and leaflet drop

I went into Blairgowrie with Tina this morning, she had an appointment so I had an hour to go to The Nest craft shop and a general look around. I wanted to get a knitting pattern for a hat and some wool and needles, may as well try some knitting at Knit and Natter! I did find a patter and needles, but not much choice of wool, I did buy some but only because there was enough of it. We went a different route today avoiding very wooded areas and road closures. There have been a lot of trees down causing havoc. We went along some pretty tree lined roads and passed a famous beech hedge!

I probably took my most colourful autumn shot by a small park in the town.
We had a drink and then did the food shopping before coming back for a late lunch.
Tina had some fliers for an event she is holding and also some for another organisation so I helped her pair them up and then we went out to put them through doors. It started to rain as we left but we went anyway, it did stop quite quickly. We were out less that an hour but had been non stop and nearly every house had steps to the door and so many of them had those bruh lined letter boxes which are very difficult to post thin paper through. I wasn’t sorry we had used all the new we took out!
I have been achy today so not planning to do anything energetic this evening.

  1. A little trip out is always nice, even if you didn’t get exactly what you went for. A hat is a hat whatever wool it is. It’ll keep your head warm 😊 I bet Amazon have loads to choose from. Not the same when you can’t see it though.
It looks a pleasant day in the pics. That hedge is bloody enormous! No wonder it’s famous!
I like your autumnal pic in the town. It looks good with that bright blue sky behind it. I’m surprised the trees have any leaves left on them after that storm.
I hate posting fliers. It’s either up and down steps or up and down long driveways. So much easier when it’s terraced houses that are directly on the street, without steps. The brush draft excluders are a damn nuisance too. You do get roped into a multitude of different jobs 😊
I hope you’re sticking to the plan and are firmly ensconced in the chair!

  2. It was a nice trip out anyway, and we didn’t have any trees in the road! It was good to buy the pattern and needles in The Nest as it is a great place to get cheap craft stuff so we like to support it. Got some nice wool at Home Bargains and a very reasonable price.
I hope that the fliers get some people along to Tina’s event.🤞
Definitely taking it easy this evening, can get lively again tomorrow.
