I did go for a walk this morning, it threatened to start raining again but it was very light. The river look peaceful from the bridge but going over it the wind was so strong that if I had been lighter I would have been blown over!
St Ninians, where I volunteer was festooned in leaves. No branches on the bed I am working on which is good. There were tags and branches everywhere on the way to Dunkeld. When I got home I worked on the diamond art novelties for the witches hat.
Then finished it, as good as it’s going to get now!The power came on at six which was a pleasant surprise, and is still on as I write. So fingers crossed it will keep that way. Darren and I did finish the jigsaw by candle light, photo of that tomorrow. I have made headway with the embroidery so maybe a photo of that as well.

You were very brave going over the bridge in the wind 🙂 They’ve been talking about 80mph winds up there since last night and most of today. You were lucky to be without electricity for such a short time. The tree damage up there had been bad and taken out a lot of power lines. I hope yours stays on now 🤞🤞
ReplyDeleteThat is a lot of leaves at St Ninians. Will the volunteers be sweeping those up? Good job you have your own bit of garden there.
I think the witches hat looks great. You definitely need to upload a pic of you wearing it 😊
It’s handy Tina has the electric car as most of them now have a 240v outlet. So basically the car cooked your tea. You wouldn’t have thought that a few years ago 😊
It’s almost worth having a power cut to be able to sit in front of the log burner by candlelight 🕯️
Will you be doing some embroidery tomorrow afternoon?
Hope the weather calms down a bit up there tonight.
The wind didn’t seem so bad through the village.
ReplyDeleteI am sure leaf sweeping will be on the agenda tomorrow.
I will get Tina to take a photo of me wearing the hat! I may be doing embroidery tomorrow as it isn’t quite finished.
It was pretty handy that Tina has an electric car!
