Photo shortage

This morning the three of us had a walk into Dunkeld to stretch our legs before the rain arrived. We had a drink and then made our way back, the rain was just starting as we got home. I took one photo on the way back, still hoping to catch some colour before all the leaves have dropped, which after the wind won’t be long!

This afternoon Tina and I went to a workshop to make a small note book with traditional stitching and a book cloth spine. It was a three hour workshop and we had just about finished in time. Everything was provided and Marion, the instructor took us through every stage and demonstrated. We were so busy that we didn’t stop to take photos and there isn’t one of the finished article either as we had to put them straight under a weight while the glue dried. So picture tomorrow.
I pottered with the decoration for the witches hat before dinner and have just finished watchng Strictly, which was enjoyable.
The rain has been heavy with water running down the street and we had to come through a puddle to get indoors. I think it has eased off a bit now.

  1. Make the most of the walks up there, I’m sure at some point this winter you’ll struggle to get out there! That’s one of the disadvantages of living that far north.
The autumnal pic looks nice. It’s a real shame they don’t hang around for very long. I suppose then at least the ground will look good 🙂
It sounds the notebook was fun to make, and a useful object. Do you know what you’re going to use it for yet? I’ll look forward to see some pics tomorrow.
It’s been very wet here today too. I think the forecast said it was worse up there too. Hopefully the storms will have passed by tomorrow.
Don’t forget to put your clocks back.

  2. There are so many leaves on the ground but they are looking brown and are very slippery now we have had all this rain. I think the river path will now be out of bounds unless were wearing wellies and even then you would need to be careful.
The book is small and not a lot of pages, so not really sure what I will use it for.
Yes, an extra hour tonight so won’t get to bed too early.
