Walk and bee house!

I walked into Dunkeld this morning, just to get a bit of exercise. I took photos of from both sides of the bridge, it was the shy I was attracted to on the first one, they both look chilly!

I walked back along the river path, still not a lot of colour on the trees.

Quite a lot of these diseased leaves on the ground, make great patterns!
This afternoon I tried to fill gaps in the bee house, had to cut some very short ones which probably won’t be ant use to the bees anyway, it is now as good as it is going to get!
Has to cure for a while , I do hope it attracts a bee or two.
I am off to my first evening meeting with the garden and growing club this evening. There is going to be a talk on cacti.

  1. They certainly do look like wintery skies. It’ll probably be brilliant sunshine tomorrow though. Our weather is definitely unpredictable these days.
I suppose the colour in the trees will arrive all of a sudden and then the leaves will drop off 5 minutes later. You’ll need to be prepared to get out there at short notice 😊
I’ve seen trees in the past with the black spots like that. I think a sort of fungal disease. Hopefully it won’t kill the trees.
I think you’ve made a grand job of the bee house. There are plenty of places for them to squeeze into and rest. I do hope it gets used after all your effort.
So, did you learn lots about cacti this evening?

  2. It was a wintry looking day, but that is nice in its own way.
I hope I mange to get some nice autumnal shots before the leaves all drop.
Very interesting talk, will try not to turn the interest in another hobby!
