A walk, a chat, and sorting sketches

Yesterday evening I started going through sketches and sorting out frames. I have a lot but not necessarily the right size! I got quite a few of more recent sketches framed in readiness for thr garden market next week.

This morning I set out at about 9.15am to have a walk before meeting Linda for a cuppa and chat at the hub. I walked on the trail again going past the community orchard and the to the sea front.

Had a nice natter with Linda and was telling her about my plants on stands but couldn’t find the photo, so took one to send her when I got home.
Linda gave me a few surplus lands that she had grown on from plugs.

Have been sorting sketches since and did pop put to me of the charity shops to see if they had any suitable frames. They didn’t but there are a couple of others to try tomorrow. I did get a few more framed and have chaos in the bedroom now!
Darren was in later tonight s went straight out to do essential watering after we had eaten. Off to attack the chaos now!

  1. Those framed sketches look great. I’m sure others will think the same too. Hopefully a few will be going home with them 😊 I have a drawer full of frames that I’ve never used. I wish I could have got them to you ☹️ I’ll have to sort them out another day and maybe you can take them back with you the next time you get a lift here (Christmas). There’s more chance of you using them than me, and you might do another garden market if this one goes ok.
I didn’t know Hornsea had a community orchard. What have they got there, and have you picked a few for yourself? They have so many good ideas up there.
I do like to see your ever growing plethora of plants in your lounge. It still amazes me you’ve not had lots of accidental cat destruction!
.We had a bit of rain here today. Shame it didn’t get to you as it would have saved you carrying cans. I hope you get to sit down and relax at some point this evening.

  2. There are apple trees in the orchard, I haven’t been right round, it is a bit area with some picnic benches. I think some people volunteer there regularly which is good.
Hopefully some people will at least be interested enough to look at my stuff, the other artists will all be people who sell stuff in Number Nine.
Have just got a Pandora in as she likes to be out in the evening for a while, and no sign of rain here.
