It has been a long and tiring day with about seven hours of it spent on the coach! We left the hotel at 9 am, were near Chatsworth at 10.30 am but the traffic was so bad that we actually got off the coach at 11 am. We were then allowed four hours before starting the long journey home. I took well over 100 photos today and have had a quick look. Will do a 'taster' blog and sort out the ones I really want to share for tomorrow.
As I crossed one of the bridges I held up the crowds as I liked the sky!
I went over to Chatsworth House, you got in cheaper if you had been to the RHS show. The house was fantastic but I was really weary and actually the walk round was too much!
More photos and description tomorrow!
I can see now why you took so many pictures. Some cracking colours in the flowers. The sky you caught is really good too. Love the cloud pattern.
ReplyDeleteI didn't realise you were going to the house too. It looks a great building, and I'm surprised they allow you to take pics inside, as most places like that don't. Or were you just being sneaky and illegal? :-) I look forward to seeing some more tomorrow.
I did check and you could take photos providing you didn't use flash. There were great colours and arrangements, very muddy under foot though!
ReplyDeleteWow!! You really did push yourself. Flowers look very pretty. We loved Chatsworth House went one Christmas, they really go to town, the house so interesting. Could not do both even then so well done. Safe journey home, feet up all the way. Xx
ReplyDeleteOne of the ladies on the trip was saying how wonderful Chatsworth is at Christmas time. Was going to docs this morning but he has phoned in sick!! xx
ReplyDeleteLooks lovely my kind of day out and those clouds are beautiful
ReplyDeleteVery unusual clouds, thin the other punters thought I had lost the plot stopping to take a picture of the sky! xxx
