Today we walked into town and I took the shopping trolley, which turned out to be a great success. Had a good wander round the town centre, and found a weigh and save shop, great for buying almost anything in small amounts. Then we made out way to the picture framing man and the do it yourself shop. It is about a week since I left my pictures to be reframed so thought I would go and see if they were ready. Was just asking him when I realised they were still on his table exactly where they had been when I left them!! It really is a ramshackle place, he mumbled he would start framing them on Monday - I dread to think what I will get, I doubt he will remember my request and he didn't write much down! This afternoon we get day tickets for the open top buses, Mikes first senior bus ticket, or senior anything! We went to the Spar end and had a lovely walk there, and climbed up to the Clock Cafe for a cuppa. Very quiet beach that end, lots of rock pools, will be great for a sketching day.
The first pic is the Clock Cafe, behind the beach huts, the second one the view back from the Spar end and the last one just a bit arty!!
I can only say it again, Scarborough really is a beautiful place. I've been very lucky so far, as the weather has been nice on my visits, but I'm sure other seasons will bring other sights to see though.
ReplyDeleteYes, I am looking forward to see it through the changing seasons, the park will be especially lovely I think.
