Sorry, can't resist these skies!

This morning Tina and I met up with Brian and Hazel at St Mary's church where we all had a drink and chat. Then Tina and I went to Sainsbury's and on the way back thought we would call in on the framing man, but the shop was closed. I phoned him a bit later and he says the pictures will be framed by tomorrow morning, but I am not holding my breath. This afternoon I have done some pruning in the garden, one of the buddleia trees had come down across the lawn, and they do need trimming back anyway. Looks much better, but now Darren and I have the challenge of how we are going to get the two piles of tree to the tip, there were a lot of very prickly brambles in there as well!

I like coming through to have my morning cuppa to see a rainbow, makes the day start with a smile!

Went to Whitby on the bus with Brian and Hazel, what an amazing journey. Took about an hour, on a single decker on the way there and on top of a double decker on the way back. The last picture was taken from the bus. When we arrived one of the steam trains had just come into the station which was a good start. After looking round some great little shops along cobbled streets Brian and I went out on a short boat trip out to sea. One of the pictures is of me on the boat and the other as we came back into shore. The fifth photo is Brian and Hazel under a pretty inappropriate sign, but a fun sign never the less. Called in on the picture framer on the way back and he is going to get them framed tomorrow!

Attempted a pencil drawing this evening, so thought I would post it, slowly getting back into being crafty!

I have been out with Hazel and Brian today, the island was open at Peasholm Park so we went to the top where the pagoda is and it is really pretty up there, good for a sketch another day. Then we walked along the beach to the Sealife Centre and caught the North Bay Railway train back to the park. Then onto the open top buses and along to the Spa end where we had lunch. We came up on the cliff tram and walked up to the windmill where they have their holiday apartment. There apartment if through the door on the balcony and the rooms are on two floors so they are quite high when in there lounge/kitchen. The view is over the roof tops from the balcony, you can see the sea in the distance.

I didn't think doing something creative would be loom bands, but now it is a challenge! I managed the 'waterfall' band on the third attempt and then made a chevron band using the two pronged gadget (a bit like French knitting).
