This morning I changed the bed and pottered about a bit, even did a bit of the jigsaw. I went for a walk, only set out to feed a few squirrels in the glen. As I walked up Peasholm Drive I spotted these random berries on a seemingly dormant bush.
A little further up a view of the park from on high.
This bush isn't holly, but just has a hint of Christmas anyway!
The glen looks lovely whatever time of the year.
One of the newer carvings in the glen.
I did manage to feed quite a few squirrels, they were busy burying the nuts as well as eating them. This one is a little cutie.
I came home and had a bit of a rest as my legs were quite sore today. Then I got dinner, and made some more mince pies and lemon curd and jam tarts as Tina does not like mincemeat. She went off to the children's carol service this afternoon, obviously suitably clad!!
She had trouble keeping the antlers as Blue was fascinated by them!!
Love the antlers Tins,X. , such a lovely peak and not far to go for a short visit.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you all.
Very pretty plant arrangement , lol xx
I am sure they went down well with the children! You have a lovely Christmas, catching up with the family and hopefully being spoilt into the bargain. xxx
ReplyDeleteReally like the fourth picture of the glen. The poor stark bush with the berries on is quite good too. But it all still looks a nice place even at this time of year. You could really do with a bit of snow on it for tomorrow, but I think that's unlikely. Bet the squirrels were pleased to see you :-)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a baking fest for you today. That's a lot of pies that'll need eating, but I'm sure they'll soon get polished off! Talking of cooking, I've just remember I have stuff in the fridge to cook. Better do it now. Gonna be a late night tonight.
Best get all the Christmas goodies cooked for tomorrow. Not sure I have taken any snowy pictures of the glen, don't seem to get a lot of snow here, suppose it is because it is close to the sea.
