I stayed up to welcome Darren and Tina home, their second train was late so they were back here about 11.30 pm. I had an appointment for a blood test this morning so went down just after 8.30 am. The receptionist didn't actually mark me as there so after half an hour I went to check and she did book e in then! I have had a quiet day, done quite a bit to the scarf. I will try and get a photo of me wearing it when it is finished.
I think it will be jazzy and warm! I get mailings from a guy who has copies of rare old films. I ordered three and got another one free. They arrived today and I have watched one of them called 'Kill or Cure', black and white, made in 1962 and starring Terry Thomas and Eric Sykes. It was fun. One of the others was made in 1990 and has rare footage of the first 25 years of the Rolling Stones, I am looking forward to that one. I'll tell you about the other two when I watch them. I have wrapped a couple of presents that I need to send off and parcelled them up. When I was fishing around in the cupboard I found this cranky reindeer that I bought some months ago. Thought it was time to let him be seen.
The cats are back and have all survived their 'holiday'. I think Colonel must be near his 'mum' but Blue and Charlie have settled in with me. Blue seems to have grown.
Still haven't got the Christmas cards done, maybe I will make a start tonight!
The scarf looks nice, and is growing very quickly. I've started wearing one myself these days, which is something I've never done. In fact I didn't even have one, so I had to go and buy one! I must be getting old :-)
ReplyDeleteLooks like the cats have settled back in very quickly. I think they missed you, and I'm sure you missed them too. Everyone home again so all back to normal for a while. When's you're next trip away, apart from Peterborough?
That's a very weird reindeer!
I have the trip to London in January with National Holidays, Must look into getting an Oyster card. May do a couple more rows on the scarf now!
DeleteScarce very jazzy, will look good when finished I'm sure. MCats well settled in, rather you than me. Cakes well on the way. I'm pleased with mine, the recipe is yours as you know we do t like ice I g so will be just cake with the booze. Good tho.
ReplyDeleteI'm really looking forward to Christmas, don't know why really but just nice to chill. Xx
I am looking forward to Christmas too, I think at the moment I am feeling much better generally, and you never know something might be done about the ankle when I go on Friday! Ever the optimist.... xxx
