A long journey home, not too eventful. I did try and take pictures from the car on the way to the airport, but mostly we were just travelling too fast. When we slowed down I took this building, the driver said it was the central criminal court, but I haven't actually been able to verify it, but it was a reasonably clear picture from a car at night!
I spotted this sculpture on the way to the gate.
I was using the stick and the girl at check in allocated me a seat in the roomy economy the same as on the way over, nearer the front too so easier to get off. Talking of allocation there was an announcement to say the flight had been over booked and they wanted volunteers to get a financial incentive and fly a whole twenty four hours later! A little alarming but I had by boarding pass and had no intention of parting with it! The flight itself was interesting, the three flight attendants in out section all seemed to be pretty near to my age, and were not the most efficient crew I have ever seen. We were early in Manchester and I was through customs pretty quickly, another sculpture, on my way to the train station back home.
The fancy pencils Lee ordered for me arrived and the children were interesting to see how they looked. So I did colour one flower from the book they bought me. They do blend very well, I used three different pencils and you can work then into each other.
I thought I would add a picture of the few bits I bought at 'Michaels'. Back to the trip, the trains were both extremely busy but on time, I had allowed plenty of time. Sandy collected me at the station and bought me some milk and bread so I won't starve tonight, not that starving is likely after a week or so in America! The house is empty of people and animals, but still standing and everything looks to be in good order. I am very tired tonight so won't be late to bed.
The wool is supposed to be enough to make a crochet scarf.

  1. You're definitely a true photographer. Most people wouldn't have bothered to take pics on such a ha tic and long journey, they'd have packed it and forgot it, but you still found time to take a few shots. You're extremely keen :-) From a car at night the building came out quite well.

I wonder what they were offering for people to fly a day late? Not that I'd have considered it either. Way too much hassle, specially when you arrive at his end.
Hope you get a decent nights sleep tonight and aren't too jet lagged. Everything back to normal tomorrow....... until your next trip away that is.
