A while ago I got a kit for little decorative table crackers, started marking them out yesterday evening.
Now I know for sure that nothing I do ankle wise will make things any better or worse, except I suppose be a bit more painful, I have decided I need to get out and walk a bit more as the rest of the muscles etc need to be exercised. I thought today I would attempt walking to the Sea Life Centre, and probably catch the bus home if that felt like it was enough walking. I took the stick in my bag, but just walked without support and slowly. I cut through the park, the groundsmen have been busy pruning everything back, but unlike Peterborough they do not prune back the mahonia. So up here you can enjoy the beauty of the shrub flowering as well as the scent.
It was a beautiful day today, I looked back at the lake into the sun, it made an almost monochrome photo!
I thought I would make my way via the open air theatre. There is a box office and I noticed that Ollie Murs is appearing again next year. I just missed him the year we moved here. They had almost sold out so I bought a couple of tickets, I am sure I will find another fan who would like to come with me. Some new murals have been painted on the lower walls of the theatre. The actual stage area is removed during the winter.
I haven't walked along this path for quite a while and it was interesting to go behind the large water park.
I walked up a short path to a bridge over the miniature railway. A slightly different view of the bay.
And of the railway itself.
The bay was looking misty today, although it was a mild day.
I did have a walk round at the Sea Life Centre, some areas were closed off and the otters were nowhere to be seen, I think they had not long been fed. I didn't take as many photos there today but this one of the rays turned out quite well.
I stopped to sea them feed the seals today.
And a reasonable one of a seahorse.
I did walk home as well, this time along the sea front and for a while I walked on the beach,
This afternoon I have seen the final two episodes of this run of Dr Blake and have got on with cutting and folding the little crackers.
Will get my extensive list for our trip to Peterborough, don't want to forget anything!

  1. That sounds like a very full and active day, with some lovely pics too. You can't really go too wrong with the park and Sealife, as they're both nice places to visit. The gardeners in the park, and to be honest elsewhere in Scarborough too, do make such a nice job of keeping everywhere looking nice.
Those crackers are really cute, seems a shame to pull them and spoil them. Just use them as decorations.
My favourite pic is the railway line disappearing into the distance, not sure why, but think it's the proportions of it. I like the bay pic below it too.
Put cakes at the top of the list!

    1. The cakes are definitely first on the list, I can't move in the bedroom without walking into something!
You are right, the gardening team in Scarborough do a grand job.
