Walk into Dunkeld

Anya and family arrived late morning. I had made a cake so we had a drink and cake before going out.

We had a wander round the Beatrix Potter garden, more interesting now than when Anya saw it back in February.
Then I walked into Dunkeld with Anya, Louis and Isobel, and Aurora of course. Talking of Aurora, Pandora made herself scarce, we think probably under my bed. But she did reappear quite quickly when the coast was clear.
I took that one from a distance and Anya took the second one.

We spent quite a while in Dunkeld, checked out the next holiday let and went into a lot of shops. Anya mad enquiries at the bike rental place, and when we had pretty much see. The shops they were interested in we stopped for a drink before returning back here. I took one photo in Kat and Kat, a local craft shop with items by local artists. This display was all fascinators and I thought it was very effective.
We all had dinner here and the family headed off soon after as they were all still tired from the travelling yesterday.
Pandora is back on her usual window sill now,

  1. The cake looks lovely. I bet it went down well with a cuppa. I’ve not had a homemade cake like that for years. But if I did I’m sure it wouldn’t take me long to eat it 😊
I bet they enjoyed the BP garden. I loved the pictures of it you put on here the other day.
I see everyone, including Aurora made the most of the walk by the river on the way to Dunkeld. I like the pic of Isobel 😊
Bike rental sounds hard work. It’s not as flat up there as it is down here, they my be in for a shock. I’d hire an electric bike!
Do women actually buy and wear fascinators any more? I suppose if you’re heading for an upmarket do, or going to Ascot you might.
Pleased to hear Pandora coped with a bit of hiding, but soon came out when the coast was clear. She’ll probably be a bit miffed when it happens again though 😊

  2. They do hire out electric bikes, so they should be okay!
Aurora did enjoy the walk, other dogs to meet and not too many people!
It is a tourist town so the shops are interesting to browse in.
I think fascinators are popular with the younger women.
Pandora has really settled into life here which is good, earlier having a dog in the house may have had her running off,
