Winding down and jobs done

 I will just say a bit about the weekend. I got lots of lovely cards which I have displayed in the kitchen, and may make a scrapbook.

I got some beautiful jewellery, a wonderful rose gold 1946 farthing for the family, a sliver 80 necklace from a friend and some lovely earrings from my sister and niece.

And some very funny fluffy socks!
I was up later than usual and sat with the cat for a good while who was following me about like a lost lamb, probably making sure I wasn’t about to disappear again. This afternoon went grocery shopping with Tina andi had a couple of packages arrive when I was out. Three small trough planters so went out between showers nd got the foxgloves put into them.
Took a pic of this flower as I thought it was splendid.
The bonsai trees are really coming into leaf now and look nice and healthy.
The other package was a self assembly shoe rack, a fairly sturdy thing.

After tea I got with assembling it and nearly an hour and half later it is done!  Had to make it a little shorter as it wouldn’t fit under the shelf in the cupboard.
Will write a couple of letters now I think.

    You did get a lot of cards. You’re a popular person 😊 The jewellery is lovely. I particularly like the farthing rose gold necklace. That’s a really nice family gift. I’m sure you’ll wear it regularly. I love the socks too 😂
    Pandora hates it when you go away. But it’s nice that she misses you, just a shame she doesn’t understand.
    I thought you might end up in the garden at some point today. The orange/yellow flower is great. It really jumps out at you. I’ve no idea what it is!
    When you said you assembled a shoe rack earlier. I don’t know why I just visualised it being horizontal and not vertical. I like it. It’d make a good shelving unit not taking up too much space. Too many shelves for my shoes. I think I only have three pairs, four at the most 😊

    The flower is a ranunculus, they are very striking.
    Yes, some very nice jewellery, I was very lucky.
    I got the troughs because I bought the foxgloves with my heart rather than my head, and I haven’t really got anywhere to plant them at the moment.
    The shoe rack would make a nice addition as a display stand, it is pretty good quality. It is inside the cupboard now.
